Commissioner Eileen Higgins to collaborate with BizHack Academy to offer free digital marketing course for District 5 small business owners
MIAMI-DADE – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Eileen Higgins, District 5, in collaboration with Miami-based BizHack Academy will provide in-depth digital marketing training and personalized coaching for up to 120 small businesses located in District 5 to give them practical skills and strategy in online lead generation. The 7-week course entitled “How to Find Customers Online” will be led by BizHack Founder and CEO Dan Grech.
“While our small-business ecosystem has long needed more resources and a far more inclusive and enabling environment, the pandemic became a catalyst of innovation for organizations, and a wakeup call for many,” said Commissioner Higgins. “Digital transformation has become a priority for businesses to stay connected with their customers – but this can be overwhelming, especially for our local Mom and Pop businesses. I’m happy to partner with BizHack to provide another tool in the toolbox to elevate our small businesses.”
“How to Find Customers Online” is an introductory course in purpose-driven digital marketing for small businesses so they can find, attract, and retain customers online. Participating business owners will work with expert instructors and peer business owners to learn the BizHack Lead Building System™ methodology, create a Business Directory Listing, and develop a personalized Growth Roadmap with a clear plan of action for acquiring customers online.
BizHack will run the course three times over the coming year, with the first class of up to 40 businesses kicking off on May 11, 2022.
“This course is designed to help small businesses survive and thrive in a post-COVID world,” said BizHack Founder and CEO Dan Grech, who will be the lead instructor of the course. “Small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy, and during the course we’ll equip owners with proven systems, tools, and habits needed to embrace digital transformation and growth.”
To qualify, businesses must be based in District 5 (including home-based businesses), they must commit to attending the live classes and doing the assignments, and their website and social media will be reviewed to confirm they’re a good fit for the program. Applications are open here.
This course is a part of Elevate District 5, a small business recovery and growth program created by Commissioner Higgins that utilizes data and feedback to create, leverage, and expand programs and tools to support and strengthen small businesses in District 5. It is funded by the American Rescue Plan (ARPA), President Biden’s plan to provide direct relief to Americans, contain COVID-19, and rescue the economy. In celebration of National Small Business Week, Elevate District 5 will officially launch on May 3, 2022.
